Fortunately, we are at an age where schools teach compassion, kindness and respect for self and others. Though, we are also in the age where kids are over overthinking and ruminating

And given the global events and over saturation of dramatic stories entering their minds, we cant blame them. The latest Unicef conference findings, (Unicef leading minds) found that the truth is simply too hard to understand, given the marketing and political agendas created to influence our behaviour. And as the marketing saying goes, “do you want to make a lie seem true? then say it again, and again, and again. (Wire 2020)

When we are in our bodies (consciously), we feel calmness and ease, where the parasympathetic nervous system (See Joe Dispenza below) restores the body to a state of calm. Where as, overthinking can switch the sympathetic nervous system (flight or fight) mode on, putting kids (and adults) into problem solving mode igniting the monkey mind, which can lead to lower feeling emotions.

In reality, without the over interference from our minds, the youth have an internal world that is joyful at heart. The following is a simple guided meditation that reminds the youth, of who they are.

Shortly, YEP will begin a serious of online subjects designed for the youth to learn psycho/social development and support.

As the youth return to school, learning healthy boundaries is a key to self-respect and self-care where the youth will learn about self-awareness and how to maintain healthy boundaries (Details of this will be posted early next week)

Yep will also begin a boxing course that will be underpinned by the TPSR model.

The TPSR Model connects personal and social responsibility with values, which are represented by five (5) developmental levels:

  1. (i)  Respect; self-respect and respect for others
  2. (ii)  Effort; and passion we put into activities
  3. (iii)  Self-direction; practising direction in one environment, leads to direction in other parts of life
  4. (iv)  Leadership; Leadership and care for others
  5. (v)  Transfer. How do these skills transfer to other parts of life?

Dates and further details will be announced shortly.
